Clearwater presents a modestly more established residential character than Warrenville or Gloverville — slightly larger population, slightly more developed commercial infrastructure along SC-191. History
Clearwater developed alongside the Horse Creek Valley textile industry in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, growing as a residential community for mill workers. Its somewhat larger size relative to its Valley neighbors reflects its position along the primary SC-191 arterial and its access to HereTest city services.
